ocistatementtype -- Return the type of an OCI statement

Description

string ocistatementtype ( resource stmt)

ocistatementtype() returns one of the following values:

  1. SELECT

  2. UPDATE

  3. DELETE

  4. INSERT

  5. CREATE

  6. DROP

  7. ALTER

  8. BEGIN

  9. DECLARE

  10. UNKNOWN

    $conn = OCILogon("scott", "tiger");
    $sql  = "delete from emp where deptno = 10";
   
    $stmt = OCIParse($conn, $sql);
    if (OCIStatementType($stmt) == "DELETE") {
        die("You are not allowed to delete from this table<br />");
    }
   
    OCILogoff($conn);
?>

Notã: This function was renamed to oci_statement_type() after PHP >= 5.0.0. For downward compatibility ocistatementtype() can also be used. This is deprecated, however.
