Responsibilities:
Design and implementation of web applications using PHP/ MySQL for:
•statistical calculus and various data processing;
•management of complex databases including internal resources;
•supporting other departments e.g. Human Resources, Financial;
•development of new systems using advanced technologies (Zend Framework, YUI, Smarty Templates, MVC structures, Web Services)
•optimization of existing applications
•code and database design

- The developer will be involved in product development, working on subsequent releases of the same product for longer periods.
- Most of our PHP projects are custom development work, frequently using the Symfony Framework, but we also started developing our own product offering. Development teams use an extensive suite of open source development tools including Eclipse, Maven, Continuum, and Subversion for development activities.
- Candidates can expect to work on 3-4 projects/year, or build and maintain subsequent versions of one or more product offerings.
- During the typical project, travel will be limited, although some flexibility will be required, in case on-site presence is required. There are also some projects that require the candidate to be permanently on-site (in EU, usually) for periods of time ranging up to 1-2 months.
- Excellent communication skills are required in English, French is a plus. The candidate should also have strong analytical skills, good organization
